Midfielder Sebastian Larsson is at the opposite end of his international career to namesake Henrik. A newcomer to the Sweden team this year, he has produced some eye-catching displays in the English Premier League despite the relegation of his club, Birmingham City FC, after just one season back in the top flight.
- Brought to England by Arsenal FC at the age of 16 after being spotted playing youth football for Sweden.
- Could not establish regular first-team place at Arsenal, making just 12 appearances (three in league) before he was despatched on season-long loan to Birmingham in 2006.
- Helped Blues to automatic promotion from English second tier, sealing permanent move halfway through campaign.
- Displayed even better form in 2007/08, scoring six goals in Premier League including spectacular last-minute winning goal away to Tottenham Hotspur FC in new manager Alex McLeish's first match in charge (3-2).
- Debut for Sweden against Turkey on 6 February 2008; also started next game v Brazil at the Arsenal Stadium.
